Hi everybody! So, I am here with Elizabeth Vargas from MetroPlus. How are you doing today? How do you feel?

Interviewer

I feel great, thank you so much!

Elizabeth Vargas

We are so happy to have you. What do you think about this grand opening?

Interviewer

I think this is a great opportunity for the community to know the awareness that there is a need for healthcare services throughout the borough, and for them to bring their business here is an opportunity not only for the aid but also to bring the members to come in make sure there are enough services for everyone to share.

Elizabeth Vargas

I love that! It is truly wonderful! What do you think about the initiative of Emerest Connect? Now that we’re having a TV show for the seniors and also the caregivers.

Interviewer

One of the great things I love about what they’re doing is they’re finding ways to connect to the members in the community. And as a Metroplus employee, you hear questions about what I do in my free time, especially they retire. What can I do to connect and to find something that is very simple and ways to keep the patient at home but also keep the patient out of the hospital is one way of showing that we’re there for them, they have someone to connect with or someone also to keep them connected.

Elizabeth Vargas

Exactly! That is exactly what we’re trying to do. And another thing, what do you think this is going to do for their mental health?

Interviewer

One of the things is that it’s going to allow the patient to know that they’re not alone, that there’s someone to connect with. Also, having Emerest in the sense they have this application, where the patient can select programs, activities to entertain, especially to talk to a nurse. It just makes them feel that they have someone to go to and they’re not alone anymore.

Elizabeth Vargas

That’s amazing! Thank you so much for coming, we’re so happy to have you! Thank you!

Interviewer

Thank you!
