In 2016, she joined Aetna Better Health of New York – Aetna’s Medicaid Managed Long Term Care health plan – and is currently the company’s Senior Community Development and Account Manager.  

Maria says she has led a “successful and active community team that has a strong presence among seniors throughout New York City.”

Hi everybody! We are here with Maria Delgado. Thank you for being here. What do you feel about this grand opening?

Interviewer

I am absolutely amazed! I’m speechless! This is so wonderful! I’ve been working with Royal Care for over 20 years. I maybe shouldn’t say that!

Maria Delgado

That’s amazing!

Interviewer

Just the progress, and the innovation, and the change, and the thoughtfulness towards the home health aides, the patients, the whole holistic approach is wonderful!

Maria Delgado

I was about to ask you about that. What do you think about the U@Perks? What do you think about that?

Interviewer

It’s so completely new. I’m still learning but I think it’s such an added value, that we are sort of like, don’t think about it and it’s so important. So, I think it’s wonderful!

Maria Delgado

Of course! And how do you think this going to contribute towards the health of our community?

Interviewer

Well, I think if you have happy aides, happy employees, it will trigger to, if you come into a house and you’re happy, and you’re smiling, and you have a patient that’s going through a rough time, and you see somebody smile – it’s contagious!

Maria Delgado

It is so contagious and it helps with mental health.

It does.
